TEDx1000Lakes

In my Senior year of high school (2012), some of my classmates and teachers organized a TEDx event for our community. They reached out to me to speak at the event, where I discussed my generation and the great potential we have: whether to succeed or fail is up to us.

It’s cheesy and my speaking skills (and accent) have improved, but it was a great opportunity to hone my public speaking skills outside of speech and debate. I also gave similar talks at my high school’s Martin Luther King Jr. programs in 2011 and 2012, encouraging fellow students to be actionable (2012) and to simply be kind (2011).
